Here at MONDEOX we’ve chosen to subscribe to BASF’s BIO MASS BALANCE approach, an initiative that reduces CO2 emissions and helps to conserve fossil resources. This approach encourages the use of renewable resources to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and save fossil fuels.
The BIO MASS BALANCE APPROACH involves the use of renewable resources such as biodiesel or biomethane, obtained from agricultural by-products, from crop transformations or feedstocks, together with fossil resources, right from the initial stages of chemical production. This process is independently certified to ensure the end product is of the same quality and has the same properties.

Here the recycled powder is used again in a new moulding process that allows us to create soles in polyurethane with a 15% content of recycled material. This approach not only cuts down waste, but also makes for a more ecological production while at the same time guaranteeing our footwear excellent performance. The soles created with this process maintain the same quality as the rest of the products.
